Social context sharing in-the-wild

I just stumbled upon a great context aware application called Jaiku that announces my whereabouts to, well almost anybody. This is a great application for anyone owning a Nokia series 60-phone and reasonable datatransfer plan.

Jaiku is a replacement for your contact list and your calendar. It takes over the core functionality of your connected mobile device. If you give Jaiku permission, it will broadcast your affairs.

I've been broadcasting my affairs for ages (a little less than a year is ages?) and even though this might seem to be "a privacy threat" it isn't. At least it isn't a big one.

Try it out! www.jaiku.com
